We thought 2020 was going to be the year for amazing things and the summer of our lives. Oh, boy were we wrong.
The first 6 months of 2020 were filled with lots of changes. Especially with the pandemic going on.
Now that places are slowly beginning to open up, I can’t lie that I’m excited to get back into the swing of things. Seeing family members, and friends, Having to go in-store for items instead of waiting 3 weeks for it to be delivered.
But we have to remember that what we did before we can’t do it now. We have to create a new normal. So if you’re excited just like me to hang out with friends and family, here are a few things you can do this summer during a global pandemic.
Keeping Yourself Protected at all Times
Now we have to remember that we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. Cases are continuously going up and we still need to do our part by protecting ourselves and other people. That includes supplying yourselves with a face mask, gloves, and carrying hand sanitizer everywhere you go.
Buying a reusable face mask can be less of a hassle than using a single-use face mask. You’re able to rewash the mask and plus it keeps our environment clean!
Lots of retail stores are beginning to sell reusable face mask.
If you’re an Amazon junkie like me you can buy different types of face masks that need filters or don’t need filters. Here is one reusable face mask I use that includes carbon filters.
Practice Social Distancing
If you want to have a BBQ at your place, remember to follow the guidelines of how many people you can have in your household (that includes the people that already live with you).
Keep at a distance from everyone and I would recommend having your guest wear a face mask just for extra precaution.
You can practice social distancing by setting up chairs 6ft apart from everyone.
Don’t you want to use your household dishes? Use disposable cups, plates, and cutlery! Right after everyone eats, all eating utensils can go in the garbage and you don’t have to worry about sanitizing the dishes used in the house.
Hang out in places that do not have lots of crowds
Now I know we don’t want to be hanging out at each other’s houses, I get it. You want to hang out at other places now that the weather is warmer.
Pick places that are not prone to major crowds. Such as; parks, beaches, malls, confined indoor locations, and restaurants.
Remember, we are still in a global pandemic and we have to remember that cases are still rising
Places you can go are hike trails, drive-in theatres, have a huge Netflix party on your computer (If you don’t know what Netflix Party is then you are missing out!)
Have fun this summer!
Try to remember to have fun! We have been locked indoors for quite some time now, as long as your practice social distancing, protecting yourself, and trying to stay home as much as possible you can have an awesome summer!
