Ever since I was little I always saw my mom, grandmother, and aunts clean their house before the holiday season.
I never understood why until I became an adult. I love the idea of having my home clean for the holidays. Especially Christmas.
With how busy you become during the holidays it’s so hard to give yourself time to clean until the new year.
I want to share with you in detail how I cleaned my entire home for the holidays.
How To Clean Your House For The Holidays?
I try to do a deep clean of certain areas or places I want to tackle before the new year.
Step 1: Write down all the places you want to clean
Step 2: Make room for your holiday decor
Step 3: Tackle the places you delayed cleaning all year.
Step 4: Give yourself a timeline
Step 5: Break down your cleaning into stages
Once we complete these steps here is an example of my holiday cleaning checklist.

- Take down curtains and wash them
- Clean any appliances you need for holiday baking
- Vacuum and mop behind the couch
- Wash and prep the Christmas linen you will be using (Table cloth, napkins, placemats, etc…..)
